FAQ

Do you purchase produce from local farmers?

Absolutely! I pride myself in providing you with the freshest quality ingredients. Once we establish a menu and discuss your preferences, I will do my best to purchase from local farmers. If there is no farmer’s market scheduled on the day I do your shopping, we can make arrangements for me to pick up what you need from a farmer. Additionally, as a small business owner, I understand the importance of supporting local.

Do you have preferred grocery stores, brands, etc.?

This is a topic that we will discuss in our initial consultation. While I do have preferred stores, vendors and brands, if there is something that you would prefer that I purchase and cook for you, that is what you will get. Many grocery stores now are carrying local produce and other items, which I also support.

What’s your favorite food?

This is the most asked question…and I love answering it! It honestly depends on if I’m training for a race or not. I love a good egg white scramble or omelet full of veggies, avocado, bacon and a side of fresh fruit. If I’m not training, pizza or a cheeseburger with no bun and french fries.

What is your husband’s favorite meal or baked good that you make?

He loves a good steak and baked potato or spicy spaghetti and meatballs (GF of course, ha). For a baked good, pretty much anything chocolate, especially a good chewy chocolate chip cookie.

I have a lot of dietary restrictions are you able to provide a variety of meals or do they repeat every two weeks, like the other services I’ve tried?

YES! I am passionate about health and cooking and I believe that variety is the spice of life! I work with each client individually to create a unique menu that works for their need and preferences.  This includes but is not limited to: dairy-free, gluten-free, egg-free, nut-free,sugar-free, vegan, paleo, keto, and low or no sodium.

What type of clients do you cook for?

I work with a wide variety of clients that are looking for healthy nutritious meals, that aren’t processed and/or in the frozen food section.  Think busy professionals, busy parents, those who don’t enjoy cooking, people who have food sensitivities or allergies, etc. My goal is to make your meal time easier, healthier and more nutritious!

Do you work with athletes?

That’s like asking if I like running! Yes, I absolutely work with athletes.  Being an athlete myself and a business owner I am well versed on the dietary requirements to stay in peak performance and the time it takes to achieve that.  I provide athletes (along with the rest of my clients) options for both in-home meal prep and menu planning (I provide the tailored menu, you do the cooking).
